Regulation Amending the Regulation on Raw Material and Sugar Prices 

ARTICLE 1- The first sentence of the 2nd paragraph of article 4 of the Regulation on Raw Material and Sugar Prices, which was published in the Official Gazette dated 28 June 2002, numbered 24799, has been amended as follows. 

“The contract states the determined price or the advance price and the net quota A and B raw material quantity to be produced by each producer.” 

ARTICLE 2- The first paragraph of the article 5 of the same Regulation has been amended as follows. 

“Advance price or sugar beet prices are determined every year according to the agreement to be reached until the end of November at the latest between the real and legal person operating a sugar factory and the producers and/or representatives of producers as a result of the negotiations that will begin in October, prior to beet sowing, by taking into consideration the annual inflation rate, increase in producer costs, world beet prices and alternative product parity. If an advance price is determined, the final price is determined with the same procedure, by October of the following year at the latest. The contract states the beet prices or the advance price.” 

ARTICLE 3- The following Provisional Article has been added to the same Regulation. 

Provisional Article 1- The advance price or the prices of sugar beets produced in the year 2004 are determined according to the agreement to be reached as a result of the negotiations that will begin within 1 month from the effective date of the Regulation and no later than the end of the 2^nd month from the effective date. 

Effectiveness

ARTICLE 4- This Regulation enters into force on the date of its promulgation. 

Execution

ARTICLE 5- Provisions of this Regulation are executed by the Sugar Board.
